The UK team

Here we list those who work for Mallory in the UK. Our head office is in Aylesbeare, Devon, within the warehouse where we store and prepare our books for shipment.

We are constantly in contact with our customers, suppliers and representatives in all parts of the world.

Julian Hardinge

Julian has been involved in export bookselling and educational supply for over 40 years, and has chaired both the export and the college and university groups of the Booksellers Association. He has been chairman of Batch.co.uk, the UK book trade’s payment allocation and clearing system. He has sat on the knowledge and information advisory committee of the British Council, was a director of Book Tokens Ltd for 20 years, and was for some years the bookselling representative on the international board of the UK Publishers Association. He is honorary vice-president for life of the Booksellers Association.

Sophie Hardinge-Walsh

Sophie has substantial experience of Africa, including four years as both a director and project manager for an NGO in southeast Madagascar. She has also managed various projects within the UK charity sector, primarily with homeless and disability organisations. Sophie develops and oversees strategies to achieve short- and long-term goals for Mallory. Sophie travelled all over the world in her 20’s. These days she loves walking for miles along the coastal path and hanging out with her two boys.

Sancha Rees

Sancha joined Mallory’s tenders team in 2003. Her role evolved to the point where she sits on the Mallory board, and oversees the finance and warehouse operations.

Rachel Dickson

Rachel joined Mallory after graduating from Sheffield University with a degree in Hispanic studies. After a break in Mexico, volunteering in marine conservation, she re-joined us in 2009 to develop the international schools business. She now specialises in the systems side of the business, including the Mallory Online Portal. She is one of our fluent Spanish speakers. Now the mum of a cracking little girl, Rachel enjoys nothing more than a kick around and a BBQ on one of our beautiful East Devon beaches.

Jacky Beauchamp

Jacky joined Mallory in the journals department and has since segued into the information and communications technology aspect of the company as well as dealing with the US import shipments.

Gary Davies

Gary joined the company in 2011 as a part of the warehouse team. With a degree in accounting and finance, Mallory thought his skills would be more useful in the accounts team where he started as a clerk before moving on to become the accounts manager. He has a keen interest in international relations and enjoys listening to and playing music in his free time.

Vic Gazis

Vic originally worked in warehouse team at Mallory International whilst completing his PhD in sociology at Exeter University. He went on to work for Mallory in Malawi for two months in 2013, after which he became a permanent member of the team, looking after schools customers in Malawi, Rwanda and Ghana.  Vic later took on responsibility for managing Mallory’s accounts in Southeast Asia, a new market at the time. Vic now oversees the business development strategy for the business.

David Johnson

David handles the orders for home-schooling company Wolsey Hall as well as managing the journal and magazine subscriptions for various Mallory customers. David graduated from the University of Exeter with a degree in drama, and co-manages his own independent theatre company ‘Sun & Moon Theatre’ who specialise in Shakespeare’s plays.

Jan Langmaier

Jan joined us in April 2017 when we acquired the educational side of ADC Blackfire, Prague. He has years of experience in international trade and now as a regional manager for Europe he is involved in developing Mallory’s Europe strategy. Jan attended Ghent University in Belgium and then graduated with a master’s degree in economics and rural development at the Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague. In Jan’s spare time he enjoys travelling with his partner and long walks in mountains with their dogs.

Ivelina Manolova

Ivelina takes care of customers in Tanzania, Botswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Malawi and Mauritius. She graduated with an MA in english literature and history from the University of Dundee in Scotland before relocating back to Exeter, England. Ultimately, Ivelina would describe herself as a citizen of the world, and most enjoys spending her time reading, travelling, and exploring new crafts.

Haydn Mullineux

Haydn worked first within the tenders team and now heads the academic sales division. Prior to that he spent several years living in Berlin working within publishing and is fluent in German.

Olivia Perkins

Olivia joined the Mallory Schools team after many years working as an educator in secondary MFL and ESL. She initially worked with schools in Cameroon, Rwanda and Eastern Europe. Since Brexit she has been more involved in Europe strategy. Olivia speaks French, Spanish and Italian and is learning Japanese. She loves to travel and learn about other cultures and has spent time living in Italy, France, Japan and Australia.

Noelia Garcia

Noelia has a degree in international trade and worked in a customs office in Argentina, her country of origin. She mainly looks after our school customers in Uganda and Latin America. In Noelia’s spare time she enjoys traveling and getting to know different places and cultures.

Magali Savoye

Magali joined Mallory in September 2013 as a sales coordinator after completing her business enterprise degree from Plymouth University and is now heading Mallory’s School’s team. In addition, Magali looks after customers in both anglophone and francophone countries such as : Zambia, Burundi and Switzerland.

Louis Wenley

Louis joined Mallory after a year of travelling through various countries in South America, Asia, and Europe. He looks after our customers in Kenya and Tanzania, amongst many others. In 2016, Louis graduated from the University of Reading with a degree in politics and international relations, leading to a keen interest in current affairs. In his spare time, he enjoys travelling, trips to the local national park and making the most of his season ticket at Exeter City FC.

Christian Hardinge-Walsh

Christian oversees the operations in both Mallory warehouses. The ever-changing business and growth provide a constant challenge whereby every day is different. In his spare time Christian likes to collect vinyl records and go fishing with his two youngest sons. He is also a keen darts player and Tottenham fan.

Robert Baxter

Rob has over 25 years experience of warehouse related work, including working for a company supplying medical equipment. He is experienced in all aspects of our warehouse operations, especially dealing with consolidations. Rob is trilingual, speaking English, Dutch and German, having attended a lyceum in the Netherlands. He was a qualified yacht-master, and he enjoys angling, fly fishing in particular, fly tying, macro photography and looking after his six-acre garden when time permits.

Dianne Nolan

Dianne graduated from Ollscoil na Gaillimhe with a B.A. in geography and archaeology, followed by an M.Sc. in local and regional development from DTU. Afterwards working in the Irish national heritage services for more than 17 years. She is an avid reader, especially of art, history and politics, and also loves being outdoors in the rugged South West.

Dipika Kulkarni

Dipika handles the digital sales for all the Mallory customers globally. Dipika received her MBA from Anglia Ruskin University, UK. Prior to joining Mallory, she worked in digital sales and marketing for over four years. On a personal side, Dipika is a cooking enthusiast, loves crafting and travelling.

Caroline Mangan

Caroline has extensive experience of working in accounts. Having studied business at the Institute of Technology at Munster Technological University, Caroline is now working towards a major in business management. Caroline enjoys reading, walking and spending time with her family.

Henry Manning

Henry first joined Mallory as a warehouse temp for 18 months until he went to university, returning to the warehouse every summer holiday. Having now graduated with a degree in maths and philosophy he has joined our schools team where he predominantly manages our Spanish customers.

Alisa Ruiz

Alisa is working with Spanish schools customers. She lives in Mexico where previously she worked as an English teacher. She has also worked as a maintenance coordinator for an American company among many other things. She enjoys travelling, cycling, and crafting.

Olivia Foulkes

Olivia looks after customers in Senegal, Rwanda, France, Madagascar, Switzerland, Tunisia and many more. She graduated from the University of Exeter in 2021 with a degree in sociology and modern languages. Olivia loves to travel and spent a year in Guadeloupe teaching English.

Antoine Donnet-Roche

Antoine works with customers from all over Africa, particularly in Southern Africa and francophone countries. Originally from France, where he worked as a music journalist among many other things, he likes to spend his free time cooking, travelling and gaming.

Kirsten Dolby

Kirsten plays a significant role in the accounts and admin department. Born and raised in Oxford, she now lives in the seaside resort that is Teignmouth where she enjoys up-cycling furniture and running competitively in her spare time.

Robyn Bennett

Robyn joined Mallory shortly after relocating from London to Devon, and is originally from South Africa. She mainly looks after our school customers in Zambia and Ghana. Robyn has a BComm degree in politics, philosophy and economics and has mainly worked in retail in finance and marketing. Robyn has recently gone back to ballet dancing and is keen on yoga and pilates. Robyn also enjoys exploring the coastlines of Southwest England and loves to travel.

Daniel McCarthy

Daniel helps with order processing and liaises with the warehouse and schools team. He is also studying graduate entry medicine, and in his spare time enjoys martial arts. Having competed many times with boxing, he plans to compete with Brazilian jiu-jitsu in the near future.

Jim Bicknell

Jim joined Mallory in 2021 and subsequently became the assistant warehouse manager for the academic warehouse in 2022. An avid music fan, Jim also follows Liverpool football club.

Martin Mellish

Martin joined Mallory in November 2022, and is responsible for the warehouse operations for orders of educational resources and furniture.

Joshua Hockings

Josh focuses mainly on packing educational supplies for Mallory’s schools customers. In his spare time Josh follows Liverpool football club, and is a gamer. Josh is also a bit of a car fanatic and can often be found detailing his current vehicle.

Conor Cottrell

Conor joined Mallory in April 2011, and after a break doing other things, has once again become an integral part of the warehouse team. Conor previously travelled to Ethiopia for Mallory to help oversee the unloading and supply of a tender award. In his spare time Conor likes to play darts, go to the gym and follow his beloved Chelsea whenever possible.

Dyana Greenaway

Dyana takes a lead on packing large contracts for our customers. Dyana is also one of our qualified forklift drivers, first aiders and fire wardens. Dyana likes to socialise and spend time with her family in her spare time.

Jamie Wood

Jamie mainly concentrates on processing goods coming into the warehouse. In his spare time Jamie enjoys following Manchester United and has recently taken up playing darts.

Zara Dosanjh

Zara joined the Mallory team in August 2023. As our Digital Communications Specialist, she creates engaging, strategised content for our newsletters and social media. As an English BA student, Zara is also an avid music and film enthusiast.
